Celebrating Women in Construction Week at RAYWEST DESIGNBUILD

At RAYWEST DESIGNBUILD, we’re proud to join the celebration of Women in Construction Week. This annual event shines a spotlight on the invaluable contributions of women in the construction industry, recognizing their skills, expertise, and dedication. From architects to project managers, women play crucial roles in shaping the built environment, and we’re honored to have five remarkable women on our team: Amanda Hall, Kelly Meyers, Mary Racz, Whitney Carter, and Kim Barefoot.

Women in Construction Week, organized by the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC), aims to raise awareness about the opportunities available for women in construction-related fields. It celebrates the women who have chosen careers in construction, while also encouraging and inspiring others to follow in their footsteps. Throughout the week, various activities and events are organized to showcase the diverse roles that women play in shaping the built environment. Let’s take a moment to spotlight each of these exceptional individuals:

  • Kelly Meyers Project Manager – lots of experience with complex projects
  • Amanda Hall Project Coordinator – handles estimating and smaller projects
  • Whitney Carter Project Coordinator Apprentice – getting it done while still in school
  • Mary Racz Business Manager –  handles the money, the books, and all contracts
  • Kim Barefoot Office Manager – looks after our people and everything else!

Here at RAYWEST DESIGNBUILD, we wholeheartedly support this initiative and recognize the significant impact that our female team members have on our projects and company culture. These five women embody the spirit of Women in Construction Week, demonstrating excellence, leadership, and resilience in their respective roles. They serve as role models for aspiring female professionals and inspire us all to strive for greater diversity and inclusion within the construction industry.
